Thursday, March 10,7PM: Planning Board Hearing, Bourne Community Center, Main Street, Buzzards Bay
This Planning Board Hearing is only to discuss the language that we are looking to amend in the bylaw, not to discuss the New Generation Wind project. The initial bylaw was written so generically, turbines of this nature were never even foreseen by regular townies! Even the Bourne Selectmen admitted they were "duped"! The bylaw affects all wind projects and we are looking to protect the entire town! Turbines in Pocasset? Monument Beach? Mashnee Island? NO WAY! If we change the bylaw, we not only help fight NGW, but all future turbine proposals as well.
